The tools in Canva make it very easy to edit photos and videos. Many social media photos and videos you see on Facebook and Instagram have been created using Canva. I create some of my social media photos and videos in Canva.
This course has been carefully created to bring you up to speed with the Canva Mobile App. In this course you will learn all the methods I use to create my photos and videos, so if you have never used Canva before and wonder how the software works and want to try some simple designs, this course is for you!
So the topics that are going to be covered in this course are the basics. You should be able to follow along just fine. In this course, we will start from the very beginning and work our way across many lessons to learn all the basics and then put it all into practice and create a professional Instagram business page using the Canva Mobile App together from scratch.
Now this may seem like a lot of lessons but trust me after this creative adventure you will be able to use Canva very proficiently. After this course, you will be able to create your own social media posts and videos in Canva, ready to export and share.
So what are we going to create on this course?
So in the last section of this course section 3, we are going to create a professional Instagram business page using the Canva Mobile App together from scratch.
So why a professional Instagram business page?
In this course, you will get the opportunity to experience what it takes to create a Professional Instagram business page. You need a professional Instagram business page to sell your product or service online effectively.
This creative exercise includes all the basic tasks a beginner will need to know. To create this project we’ll be working with all the common creative tools:
- To edit photos,
- To edit video,
- animate typography,
- animate still images,
- and many more

So here we are on Instagram and here you are looking at the Professional Instagram business page we are going to build up to.
Now this Professional Instagram business page includes a lot of design and illustrative elements, we will be focusing on each part individually and see how it can all come together to finish a complete Professional Instagram business page. Once we have finished the Professional Instagram business page we are then going to share our page online.
Course Structure
So to help break down the process, I have structured the course into three main sections:
- Section 1: Introduction
- Section 2: Essential Practice and
- Section 3: Create a project.
In the introduction section, I’ll be introducing you to Canva and bringing you up to speed with some of the things you will need to be aware of before we continue to the Essential Practise section.
In the Essential Practice section, section 2, We are going to look closely at some of the creative tools and principles in Canva.
Here you will have the opportunity to get hands-on Canva templates to practice with,
In section 3, we will be using all that we have learned in the essential practice section to create a Professional Instagram business page from scratch.
